Michal Hrivnák
Michal Hrivnák, the founder of Tangreto, was born in Bratislava in 1985 and discovered his passion for sailing at the young age of six, navigating dinghies on Slovakia’s serene lakes. This early introduction sparked a lifelong love for the water, leading him to the open seas in 2003, where he honed his skills on larger vessels and embraced the challenges of ocean sailing.
By 2013, Michal’s dedication to sailing saw him competing in regattas, showcasing his expertise and love for the sport. In 2014, he founded Tangreto to share his vision of sailing as a transformative experience, offering bespoke adventures and global charters to like-minded enthusiasts.
Over the years, Michal has explored over 23 countries, navigated more than 30 breathtaking destinations, and sailed an impressive 30,000 nautical miles. For him, sailing is more than just travel—it’s about connecting with nature, embracing adventure, and experiencing the ultimate sense of freedom.
Today, Michal continues to inspire others through Tangreto, crafting unforgettable journeys that celebrate the beauty of the sea and the spirit of exploration.
