Born on the 12th of January, 1985, in the vibrant city of Bratislava, Slovakia.

His affinity for the sea was ignited at a tender age. His journey into the world of sailing commenced at the age of 6, navigating dinghies on the serene lakes of Slovakia, laying the foundation for his lifelong passion.

In 2003, Michal embarked on a new chapter, sailing bigger boats on the open seas, embracing the challenges and thrills of navigating larger vessels in diverse marine environments. His dedication and skill in sailing led him to compete in regattas from 2013 onwards, showcasing his expertise and competitive spirit on the racecourse.

In 2014, Michal founded Tangreto, a company dedicated to chartering boats worldwide and organizing bespoke sailing trips that allow enthusiasts to explore and discover captivating sailing destinations.

Under his leadership, Tangreto has curated unforgettable maritime journeys, exploring over 23 countries by boat and navigating through more than 30 breathtaking locations. With an impressive sailing record exceeding 25,000 nautical miles, Michal’s passion for sailing transcends beyond mere exploration.

For him, sailing is a profound connection between humans and nature, a harmonious dance with the elements that embodies the essence of freedom, adventure, and discovery.
